NC State transfer C.J. Clark has setted up a visit to visit Coral Gables and the Miami Hurricanes coaching staff this weeknd, first reported by CaneSport, he starts his visit tomorrow.

He told CaneSport that “He likes their defense, likes Miami a lot”

Certainly the 6-3, 305-pounder would be a huge addition for the Hurricanes program, and Miami will have a great shot to impress him and try to convince him to shut things down this weekend.

The Canes are looking to close the deal with him a caveat is numerous programs from the SEC, Pac-12 and Big 10 are also clamoring for him to come on board.

Clark registered 22 tackles, including four for loss and one sack during the 2023 campaign. In his five seasons with the Wolfpack, Clark played in 42 games, tallying 72 tackles, including 7.5 for loss and four sacks.

Per Pro Football Focus he graded out at 61.0 percent this year (59.6 run defense, 60.4 pass rush, 50.6 tackle grade). He’s noted by PFF with 13 QB pressures this year and 16 in 2022.

If Clark does wind up at Miami it would be quite the turnaround, since he was lining up against the Canes when the two teams faced off this season – Clark had two QB pressures against center Matt Lee in that game
