Miami is No. 47 in 247’s Transfer Portal Team Rankings

Savion Riley was the latest Miami Hurricanes pick up in the portal, to join the Hurricanes. and the Hurricanes are up to four total transfer additions. However, Mario Cristobal and his coaching staff have to get more people to come to Miami before putting together one of the best transfer hauls in college football.

As the winter portal window closed earlier this week and mid-year transfers took their final visits over the weekend, we are now starting to see transfer class hauls take shape. Miami is just inside the top 50 in 247’s latest transfer portal team rankings.

In the portal Hurricanes added two defensive linemen (C.J. Clark, Marley Cook) a potential plug-and-play transfer at center (Zach Carpenter) and safety (Savion Riley).

Cristobal’ staff addressed some big needs, but the work is not done yet.

When the transfer portal re-opens in the spring, expect Miami to take a look at adding help at quarterback and wide receiver. Roster attrition could also lead to some more transfer additions at other positions. Roster-building is a very fluid process in modern college football and flexibility is required. Expect some new players to join the roster after spring practice.

Recruiting never stops.
