Miami keeps moving up in the AP Poll with the Hurricanes being ranked No. 20

After the 48-to-7 beat down against Bethune Cookman, Miami comes into week 4 ranked No. 20 in the new AP Poll.

Miami football didn’t just beat the Bethune Cookman Wildcats,  they showed the entirety of the college football world that they belonged on the field with a program that has been one of the best in the country. The offense stymied the Wildcats at every turn.

The voters have taken notice. This football team has been far more consistent than the vast majority of other college football teams. One could even argue that the Hurricanes have been placed too low at #20 in the country.

The Hurricanes have shown a big-play offense with 17 passing plays of 20 or more yards, and also a running back depth chart with five players averaging over 5 yards per carry.

The defense has come up big when it needed to as well, like weathering the storm during the early portion of the Texas A&M game, and dominating versus Miami of Ohio and Bethune-Cookman. Individually, the Canes have made noise, too.

How many safeties have played better than Miami’s James Williams? He’s accumulated 15 total tackles and broke up two passes.
