Miami must elevate passing game to take next program step

What is the next step for Miami football? That depends on who you ask. The one non-negotiable is that the passing game must find another gear.

Miami only has three players on scholarship when it comes to spring time,( Jacurri Brown, Emory Williams, and Reese Poffenbarger) If we are being honest hear the only person that will be goodto start will be Jacurri Brown.

The Hurricanes can still add another quarterback to the room Miami is already looking at Taulia Tagovailoa from Maryland.

Let’s just be 100% honest The last two year Miami quarterbacks have SUCKED when it comes to big times games such as the Florida State game and other’s like NC State Tyler Van Dyke couldnot even get a touchdown.

I feel like if Miami could get another quarterback I hope its Tua’s brother then Miami Would be a top-25 to 20 team.

Now Jacurri Brown did suit up and take the field in the Pinstripe Bowl against Rutgets.Miami did lose that game but I got to say Jacurri Brown shocked me, Brown completed 20 of 31 passes for 181 yards with one touchdown and one interception, adding 57 yards and two scores on the ground. The stats do not pop off the page. Heck, most will even single-handedly blame his mistakes for the loss. However, Mario Cristobal is proud of the way the sophomore quarterback remain composed despite the seemingly impossible circumstances.

I’m super excited to see Jacurri Brown in the spring and see what he could do for this team.

On the other hand Emory Williams is still suffering a injury and if you know he put the game on the line against Florida State and put his body on the line for this team nowhere after that play Tyler Van Dyke came in and threw a pick, Emory will be back for spring.

I still think Emory has a couple of year till he is the starting QB.

What do you all think will the Hurricanes succeed at the quarterback position this season.
