Miami must take care of the ball against Florida State Today

It it game day for the last regular season game of the 2023-24 Miami Hurricanes basketball season, and Miami needs to improve their offense efficiency once they tip off against the Florida State Seminoles this Saturday.

The Seminoles force the most turnovers per game in the ACC (15.2). Watkins and Darin Green Jr. are top 10 in steals in the conference. Miami must take care of the basketball.

Well, no Miami has not taken care of the ball all season long and it has played a big factor in this season.

Miami has been struggling with turnover throughout the seasons and even cost us some games, in the losses of Colorado and Kentucky, Miami was sloppy with the ball by turning it over 15 times against Kentucky and 20 times against Colorado. To go along with it, Miami had more turnovers than assists in both those games, making it even more prominent.

Therefore, how does Miami fix this problem and stop making avoidable mistakes? First and foremost, it starts with putting the ball in the hands of Bensley Joseph and Nijel Pack (if Nijel plays). While neither has been an excellent playmaker this season, they are this team’s best two ball-handlers and be used that way.
