Miami to host Arkansas in ACC/SEC Challenge

Miami will host the Arkansas Razorbacks in the second debut of the ACC/SEC Challenge, set to begin during the 2024-25 college basketball season.

The event comes at the conclusion of the ACC/Big Ten and SEC/Big 12 Challenges that ran from 1999 and 2013, respectively. Kentucky went 5-4 in its SEC/Big 12 Challenge with the SEC winning three challenges compared to five for the Big 12 with two ties.

This season’s matchup between the Razorbacks and Hurricanes will be just the second ever meeting on the hardwood between the two schools. Miami won the only previous meeting with Arkansas back in the first round of the 2000 NCAA Tournament, 75-71.

You can think of Arkansas is kinda like the Kentucky team we got beat by last with a little of losses and some sprinkles they got out of the portal.

The Razorbacks are coming off a 16-17 season, however like I said above this is a whole new team with coach Cal at the Razorbacks. That matchup is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 3rd.

All ACC/SEC Challenge matchups will take place on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ACC Network or SEC Network. Coverage details, including platform designations and commentator information, will be announced in the coming months.
