Miami Women’s basketball lands 2025 SF Natalie Wetzel

BOOM! Miami Hurricanes and coach Tricia Colloup has just landed their first commitment in the 2025 class with small forward Natalie Wetzel making her pledge to Miami on Tuesday afternoon.

Wetzel received offers from programs including Princeton, Seton Hall and Georgetown but it came down to two in the end: Miami and Richmond

Here is what she told On3 about her commitment to Miami:

“We went and visited Miami a couple of weeks ago,” Wetzel told On3. “My expectations were really high already. But [the visit] still managed to exceed them. The campus is just so beautiful, the facilities are really nice and I love the coaching staff. It just felt right.”

A 6-foot-3 forward, Wetzel averaged 17.4 points, 8.2 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game her junior season while earning PUP first-team honors and Class 6A second-team all-state recognition. She will enter her senior season with 1,136 career points.
