Middle Tennessee defensive tackle Marley Cook sets visit to Miami

Defensive tackle Marley Cook has set a official visit with the Miami Hurricanes.

The redshirt junior tells On3 he has scheduled two visits in the coming weeks. The 6-foot-2, 298-pound defensive lineman will visit the Hurricanes on Dec. 8 before heading north to Columbus for a visit with the Buckeyes on Dec. 15.

Both schools are in the hunt to add talent on the defensive line. Miami flipped five-star Chicago (Ill) St. Ignatius defensive tackle Justin Scott from Ohio State on Thursday night. The Buckeyes have also lost defensive lineman and former four-star recruit Omari Abor, who announced Tuesday his plans to enter the transfer portal.

In 2022 Cook racked up 9.5 tackles for loss, 49 pressures, and 6.5 sacks from the interior.

According to Insidetheu as a redshirt in 2021, Cook totaled 21 pressures while adding five more during the COVID year, giving him a career total of 92. That’s a lot at defensive tackle.

Missouri, Liberty, TCU, Kansas, and Louisville along with Houston are programs that have already have offered Cook since he announced he will be transferring.
