Norchad Omier named 2024 ACC Skip Prosser Award Finalist

The finalists for the 2023-24 Skip Prosser Man of the Year award were
announced by collegeinsider.com, and Miami Hurricanes center Norchad Omier was listed.

Omier is an absolute mismatch nightmare in the paint for every team that the Hurricanes play. There are few players who are as skilled as he is around the basket and very few with the kind of athleticism that he has to score in the paint and rebound. He impacts a game in a lot of ways and even though the big man is not always flashy, I mean by putting up points in large quantities, he is extremely consistent, and the Hurricanes and the rest of the ACC always know what they are going to get. That is usually a double-double.

Omier had put up dominate numbers, with him having (20) points and (11) rebounds versus North Carolina couple days ago, (18) points and (12) rebounds versus NC State, (18) points and (10) rebounds versus Pittsburgh, (33) points, yes 33, and (10) rebounds versus Notre Dame, and 15 points and (15) rebounds versus FSU.

Omier is averages a double double, that’s godly numbers, he’s averaging 17.6 points per game and 10.0 rebounds per game to go with 1.2 assist per game.
