Ny Carr, Top 15 wide receiver, commits to Miami

The recruitment of Ny Carr featured many twists and turns. After an eventful summer, the Hurricanes outlasted the competition to secure another commitment from a Blue Chip prospect in Georgia.

Ny Carr is one of the best wide receivers in the country. The four-star prospect is a 5-foot-11, 168-pound work horse. He’s one of the 15 best players at his position and the No. 53 overall prospect in the country, according to the On3 Industry Rankings, a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services.

Carr decommitted from Georgia in late September after initially committing to the Bulldogs in July 2022. Now, Miami made its move, and now Miami has secured the bag for Carr.

Carr is now the third top-150 receiver to join the class alongside Miami Chaminade-Madonna Prep four-star Joshisa Trader and Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas four-star Chance Robinson.

Ny Carr Scouting Summary

“Fluid route-runner who wins with ball tracking and creating yards after the catch. Shows excellent body control and balance in his route running and at the catch point. Solid production as a sophomore with 40 catches for 856 yards and 13 touchdowns for one of the top high school programs in Georgia. Three-sport athlete that jumped a 5’10” high jump in 2021 who also plays basketball. All-around skill set for the position who will continue to improve as he physically develops into his frame.”
