Opinion: Miami will beat Florida State

If the summer reports are accurate, Miami will have one of the best offenses in the history of the program this year and won’t be afraid to use it.

The game will be at home at Hard Rock with that being a homecoming weekend potential night game and depending on what the records will be it could easily be College GameDay that day. and likely one of the toughest this season, but the Hurricanes’ offense will propel the team to victory.

Miami has strengthened its roster with the addition of the league’s top available running back (Damien Martinez) and wide receiver (Sam Brown). This combination is expected to enhance the team’s already formidable offense, which includes the nation’s top eight passer from the previous year (Ward), a 1,000-yard rusher (Martinez), and a group of over 800-yard receivers (Brown, Xavier Restrepo, Jacolby George), along with what’s regarded as one of the league’s best offensive lines in the ACC. With these new transfers, the already impressive Miami offense is poised to make a significant improvement in the 2024 season.

The Hurricanes have also refreshed their offensive line by acquiring Zach Carpenter from the portal to replace Matt Lee at the position of offensive tackle, which is just a small part of the impressive talent that Miami has brought in.

Cam Ward has been tipped as a contender for the Heisman trophy.

Furthermore, the team is set to welcome a fresh wave of talent from the 2024 class, including standout players like JoJo Trader, Marquise Lightfoot, and Armando Blount, among others, who are expected to make a significant impact as true freshmen.

On the defensive side, Miami has bolstered its ranks with Michigan State’s Simeon Barrow, Louisville’s starting linebacker Jaylin Alderman, and one of the league’s top cornerbacks Dyoni Hill from Marshall. The team is actively seeking more impactful players for the 2024 season, such as four-star edge transfer Tyler Baron. Additionally, Miami is bringing back key defensive players like Kiko Maugoia and Rueben Bain Jr., both of whom have proven themselves as standout performers in their respective positions. The Hurricanes have also successfully recruited Tyler Baron to strengthen their defensive line, which is a significant achievement considering his experience as a starter in the SEC.

Since 2021, this series has been heavily tilted in favor of Florida State, with them securing three consecutive victories. Some might argue that Virginia Tech or Louisville are the teams that could decide the outcome of the season, but Miami is stepping up its game, while Louisville’s performance hasn’t matched up to that of Virginia Tech. Miami appears to have the upper hand against both teams. In my opinion, Miami is likely to be the underdog in this match against Florida State.

The Seminoles have managed to win three games in a row in this intense rivalry. The Hurricanes are looking forward to a change in fortunes following the end of Tyler Van Dyke’s tenure and the beginning of Cam Ward’s.

This game is of great significance for both sides, and Mario needs to bring his A-game to intensify the rivalry. Few college football rivalries have boasted the exceptional talent, legendary coaches, and iconic matchups that the Miami Hurricanes and Florida State Seminoles have offered. I’m eagerly anticipating this game, and you can bet the Hurricanes will be energized for it, aiming to make up for their loss last year.

I think the Hurricanes get the win here and im sticking with it.
