Panthers gets routed by the Boston Bruins, Cats go down 1-0 in series

Rough night for the Panthers as they lose to the Boston Bruins 3-1.

In the first period was very offensive for both tea:ms but neither team could buy a goal so they both went into the 2nd period both at a even score at zero.

However, that man Matthew Tkachuk opened scoring 11:45 into the second period with a wrist shot from the slot that got past Jeremy Swayman.

It was Tkachuk’s fourth goal and 10th point of the 2024 playoffs.

Moments later the Boston Bruins’ Morgan Geekie tied the game by sending a rebound past Sergei Bobrovsky.

The Bruins really picked up their game in the 2nd period and it was showing by the Bruins scoring three consecutive goals in the second by Mason Lohrei of the Boston Bruins to beat Sergei Bobrovksy to make the Bruins go up 2-1.

And it would not stop their the suffering kept getting worse with the Bruins scoring their 3rd goal in the second period, this time from Brandon Carlo, with 20.6 seconds left on the clock.

Then their is the 3rd period were the Panthers were suffering and could not get nothing going, about 13:00 minutes left Bruins’ Justin Braze fount a breakaway and easily scored to put up the Bruins 4-1. And by that put some of the Panthers fans were piling out of Amerant Bank Arena.

Boston would score on an open net to seal the game at 5-1. Bruins leads the series to their favour of 1-0.
