QB Husan Longstreet Places Miami in Top Group Ahead of Commitment

One of the top uncommitted signal callers in the 2025 class isn’t far from a decision and Miami is a contender.

2025 Corona (Calif.) Centennial quarterback Husan Longstreet is closing in on a decision.

On Monday, the Southern California passer narrowed his top schools to eight, and Oregon made the cut according to Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports.

Miami is contending with fellow finalists UCLA, Auburn, Louisville, Michigan, Ole Miss, Texas A&M and Oregon. The 6-foot, 190-pound quarterback will make his commitment in just over a month, with a date locked in for April 14.

He’s also reportedly lined up visits to Auburn (March 22) and Texas A&M (March 29) for later this month and additional trips appear to be in the works.

Longstreet is ranked the No. 94 player nationally, the No. 9 quarterback and the No. 9 recruit in California according to the 247Sports Composite.

Coming off of an impressive 2023 junior season, Longstreet completed 199/298 for 3,013 yards, 24 touchdowns, and just six interceptions, with 645 rushing yards and seven scores. Standing at 6-1 and 185 pounds, Longstreet possesses one of the strongest arms in the 2025 cycle, coupled with a quick release and impressive accuracy.
