RUMOR: Florida Gators star-studded RB Montrell Johnson suffers injury blow

The Florida Gators could be without All-SEC running back Montrell Johnson when the Gators kick off against the Canes in week one in about 27 days.

It was reported earlier yesterday that Montrell suffered a knee injury, his injury is considered week-to-week after having a routine scope procedure, according to 247 Sports’ Jacob Rudner. 

 he led the team in rushing yards (817) for the second straight season, averaged 5.4 yards per carry and 68.0 yards per game, scored six touchdowns (five rushing and one receiving).

Behind Johnson is sophomore Treyaun Webb, who averaged 6.3 yards per carry on 26 attempts as Florida’s third running back in 2023.
