Three Hurricanes will represent Miami at ACC Media Days

The talking season officially began last Tuesday when the Big 12 hosts their huge media days event in Las Vegas for the first time. Next week, the ACC will get rolling as the conference’s 48-hour mega-event heads to Charlotte. Miami head coach Mario Cristobal will take the stage for the 3rd time, and he will be bringing three players with him.

We now know who those three players are after the ACC released the player attendees list for the event on Tuesday. Miami will have some star power at the The Hilton Charlotte Uptown with Cam Ward, Kiko Maugioa, and Jalen Rivers making the trip.

Ward spent two seasons at Washington State after transferring in from Division II Incarnate Word. He started 25 games for the Cougars, throwing for more than 6,400 yards and 43 touchdowns while adding 11 more scores on the ground. Last season, he completed 66.6% of his passes for 3,735 yards, 25 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He also added eight scores on the ground.

Mauigoa finished the year with a 69.5 PFF grade, 17th highest on the team. He led Miami with 17 tackles for loss and recorded the second-highest total in overall tackles at 70.

According to Pro Football Focus, Miami ranked 12th in pass block and 35th in run block in FBS college football. Jalen Rivers was the highest-graded offensive lineman in offensive grade with 74.1, just behind Matt Lee, which is now at the Bengals.
