Three Takeaways From Miami’s Win Over Notre Dame

What a game, what a game, the Hurricanes down the Notre Dame Fighting Irish 73-61.

CanesToday owner and contributor Trinton Breeze will take you to three takeaways from Miami’s win over Notre Dame.

Norchad Omier – Miami Hurricanes forward Norchad Omier was having a ball game against the Notre Dame Fightin Irish, first half Omier was leading the Miami Hurricanes stats in scoring with him having 20 points for three rebounds, he ended up finishing with 33 If he played like he did tonight he could sneak himself into talks about the NBA Draft.

Miami’s offense was too much for Notre Dame´s defense – The Hurricanes offense was just playing lights out from the field and when Notre Dame would miss the Hurricanes would push it right away and try to score in the paint which the Hurricanes did successfully, this offense was not even at its full potential with star forward leaving the game with a lower body injury (hip). But like I said NorchadOmier is doing the job right now, Miami would just swing the ball left and right getting wide after wide open shots and they started falling mid second half.

Miami’s turnover mistakes still struggle – Miami might of solid ball today, but the Hurricanes offense still struggles at taking care of the ball, Miami 15 turnover, surprisingly Miami won the reason why I said surprisingly, cause my dad always told me ¨who ever makes the most mistakes usually loses the game¨. Therefore, how does Miami fix this problem and stop making avoidable mistakes? First and foremost, it starts with putting the ball in the hands of Bensley Joseph and Nijel Pack. While neither has been an excellent playmaker this season, they are this team’s best two ball-handlers and be used that way.
