Today On CT: Bryce Fitzgerald is a Cane

Good morning, folks! We’re now exactly twelve days away from Miami football’s 2024 season opener against Florida Gators. Mario Cristobal has used the last several months of spring and summer ball to prepare what might just be his most overall talented team since arriving in Coral Gables. With a new quarterback and running back, there is plenty of optimism going into this season.

Bryce Fitzgerald is a Cane

The nation’s No. 12 overall safety was down to four finalists at that point with Miami, Florida and Florida State seen as the contenders — the Canes and Seminoles considered the favorites with the former trending ahead down the stretch.

Then Fitzgerald took an official visit to Coral Gables, There, Cristobal showed them around the facilities in what would hopefully be the top-250 recruit’s next home, as he would.

In an Instagram live video surrounded by family and friends, Fitzgerald announced that he would be committing to the University of Miami (FL) over Florida, Florida State, LSU and USC.

Miami Womens Soccer Ties 1-1 Against Florida Atlantic

The University of Miami soccer team earned a 1-1 tie on the road against Florida Atlantic Sunday evening.

The Canes came out with high intensity from the first whistle and showcased an impressive offensive attack throughout the first half.

After a number of quality opportunities, Giovana Canali broke through with the first goal of her collegiate career in the 37th minute of the first half on a well executed set piece. Tori Grambo played a dangerous ball in off a corner kick that found the foot of Grace Hurren. Hurren played a beautiful one touch pass to Canali, and Canali did the rest.

The Canes maintained the one-goal advantage heading into halftime.

Florida Atlantic battled back and responded early in the second half, as Olivia Bori scored a goal in the 57th minute to even the match at one goal apiece.

Miami showed excellent poise following the FAU goal, continuing to press their attack. The Canes put intense pressure on the FAU back line throughout the remainder of the match, creating numerous opportunities that nearly found the back of the net.

Despite the strong offensive performance from Miami, they were unable to score a goal and went on to earn the tie.

Miami tallied nine total shots, seven of which were on goal, while FAU managed six total shots, of which were on target.

The Canes will return to the field this Saturday, as they are set to travel to New Jersey to face Princeton at 7 p.m.

NBA 2K25 ratings for Kyshawn George has been revealed

The tumultuous period preceding the release of College Football 25 has now come to a calm conclusion, following its triumphant takeover of the sports entertainment landscape in July, 11 years after the inaugural edition of NCAA Football 14 was introduced in 2013. This was swiftly followed by the release of Madden NFL 25, EA Sports’ professional counterpart to the widely acclaimed video game series. A comprehensive analysis of the current rankings of Miami players in CFB25.

The star of the show will be Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics, with A’ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces making an appearance as the standard cover athlete for the All-Star Edition, while Wilson will be featured solo on the WNBA Edition. Additionally, NBA legend Vince Carter will be gracing the cover of the Hall of Fame Edition.

But you don’t care about that part. You only care about the former Cane and how they stack up with the rest of the league — specifically this rookie class headlined by none other than Kyshawn George.

Kyshawn has came into the rating starting as an 70 overall player.
