USA Basketball wins Gold

The United States emerged victorious over France, securing their fifth straight gold in the men’s basketball event at Paris’s Bercy Arena, with a score of 98-87. This was a rematch of the Tokyo Olympic final from three years prior.

Steph Curry, who was participating in his debut Olympics and was a key figure in the Americans’ close victory over Serbia, was the leading scorer for the U.S., scoring 24 points. He also made four essential 3-pointers within the final 3 minutes, including a potential game-winning shot with just 9 seconds left, securing a nine-point lead.

Dolphins sign former Miami Hurricane Mike Harley Jr.

Harley, a 26-year-old individual, attended St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, prior to embarking on his collegiate career. He subsequently became a prominent member of the Miami Hurricanes, where he achieved a remarkable feat by surpassing Reggie Wayne’s record with 182 career collegiate receptions.

Following his unsuccessful draft selection in 2022, he dedicated his inaugural year as a rookie to the practice squad of the Cleveland Browns. However, he was not selected to the roster in 2023. Subsequently, he engaged in a limited tenure with the D.C. Defenders of the United Football League earlier in the year.

Beat luck to him as he goes for playing with the Dolphins.
