Top-priority Miami 2025 target Elijah Griffen trims list to 3 with Hurricanes included

The Miami Hurricanes has just made the cut for five-star defensive lineman Elijah Griffen, he trimmed his list to just three with Miami, Georgia, and USC remaining as his choices.

The 6-foot-5, 285-pound defensive tackle a consensus five-star prospect in the cycle, he is a consensus top-10 recruit in the nation by the four major recruiting services. In fact, he ranks as high as the No. 2 prospect in the Class of 2025 according to On3, behind only Belleville (Mich.) HS quarterback Bryce Underwood.

There’s a reason he is so highly regarded in the class. During his junior campaign for Savannah Christian Prep, he was consistently in the backfield, amassing 97 total tackles, a whopping 31.0 tackles for loss and 17.5 sacks. He helped the Raiders go 12-3 during the 2023 season, including a berth in the Georgia Class 3A Championship, ultimately falling 49-28 to Cedar Grove.

He also said he won’t expect a commitment till December or somewhere near those dates.

Miami stands out in his recruitment along with Georgia, USC.

With getting him on campus is such a great sign, and Jason Taylor is taking the lead roll in his recruitment so I would never count out Taylor.
