Trey McKenney considering Miami visit in November, talks recruitment from the Canes

Miami Hurricanes prospects and highly talented targets, combo guard Trey McKenney told CanesToday that the Miami Hurricanes are still pushing for him and he is trying to get a visit set up to come down to Coral Gables either late October or early November.

Trey McKenney is 2025 combo guard out of a dog on the court, he is one of the nations best defensive guard in his class and when I mean he is MEAN he’s MEAN on the court, he mainly got a bit of swagger to him when he plays.

Trey wants and needs to have the ball in his hands and he can do that at Miami. He is also able to get downhill toward the basket. McKenney’s jump shot is straightening out as he finished with over 20 points on multiple occasions last weekend.

McKenney ranks as the No. 3 small forward and No. 14 overall prospect in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2025 class. He’s also listed as the No. 1 player from the state of Michigan in the class.

Miami is one of nearly 40 schools to extend McKenney an offer. Other notable schools to offer McKenney include Alabama, Indiana, Illinois, Kansas, Michigan, Ohio State, Tennessee, Texas, and Texas A&M.
