With buzz circulating around the country of which quarterbacks are the best in the nation and high draft prospects one named that isn’t mentioned is Miami signal caller, Tyler Van Dyke. Even though his name isn’t as hot among NFL Draft analysis right now, Van Dyke is the highest rated Quarterback nationally according to Pro Football Focus.

Van Dyke being the top rated QB after a standout freshman season and far below expectation sophomore season does give validity to the complaints on one year UM offensive – coordinator Josh Gattis. TVD was considered the goods as a freshman, and I think recency bias from last season is taking its toll right now with some of the media in the nation as all the buzz goes to Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, Michael Penix, Shedeur Sanders, JJ McCarthy, Riley Leonard, Quinn Ewers and so on. A positive for UM and all Hurricane nation is, this seems to be a deep QB class in the draft and could lead to Van Dyke returning to Miami 2024 if this season success continues. If a return happens, Van Dyke will be considered one of the nations premier quarterbacks with Drew Allar and possibly Shedeur Sanders.
