UNC Greensboro 1B Jake Ogden on transferring to Miami ‘I want to win’

On Monday afternoon CanesToday was notified that Homestead, FL native Jake Ogden was transferring to Miami. Trinton Breeze caught up with him and why he chose the Hurricanes.

“I want to win” Simple way to put it he told CanesToday.

In his sophomore season, the Homestead, FL native started all 54 games for Greensboro and he hit .313/.385/.482 with 10 doubles, two triples, eight home runs. He also successfully stolen 16 out of 18 stolen bases.

Ogden will join a master class with C Tanner Smith, 1B Todd Hudson, OF Max Galvin, OF Derek Williams, OF Bobby Marsh, RHP Griffin Hugus, LHP Rob Evans, RHP Will Smith, RHP Reese Lumpkin and RHP Carson Fischer in Miami’s portal class.
