UNC Greensboro’s 1B Jake Ogden Has Transferred To Miami

Miami just pick up another player out of the portal with UNC Greensboro first baseman transfer Jake Ogden making his pledge to Miami on Monday afternoon.

First baseman Jake Ogden, who will be a junior next season, announced that he would be transferring to Miami from UNC Greensboro on July 1st.

In his sophomore season, the Homestead, FL native started all 54 games for Greensboro and he hit .313/.385/.482 with 10 doubles, two triples, eight home runs. He also successfully stolen 16 out of 18 stolen bases.

Ogden will join a master class with C Tanner Smith, 1B Todd Hudson, OF Max Galvin, OF Derek Williams, OF Bobby Marsh, RHP Griffin Hugus, LHP Rob Evans, RHP Will Smith, RHP Reese Lumpkin and RHP Carson Fischer in Miami’s portal class.
