Tyler Van Dyke disappoints yet again against loss to NC State, is it time to change quarterbacks?

Points were at a premium Saturday night at chilly Carter-Finley Stadium. Physicality was not. The Hurricanes have not scored a touchdown in seven & a half quarters. Um Josh Gattis is that you?

Miami and NC State traded takeaways and three-and-outs, each defense stifling the opposing offense with every passing series. But the Wolfpack landed the final blow.

All three of those takeaways were from Miami Hurricanes quarterback Tyler Van Dyke.

Van Dyke played arguably the worst game of his Miami career. The quarterback was not dialed in from the start, with Van Dyke completing 21-of-38 passes for 173 yards and three interceptions, with zero touchdowns, so do you think it’s time for a change?

Van Dyke still showed he is not that guy, here is an example. Miami was driving down field and got into the red zone and Miami ran a wheel route to Jacolby George in the back of the end zone, and he did have a step on the corner, and yet again Van Dyke throws the ball underthrown, to lead to an interception. So, I don’t get why we keep running this guy out here.

So is it time to change it up and try to put in Emory Williams or have Jacurri Brown get a snap in there, because something has to change.

  1. I said this weeks ago and all the TVD fans told me i wasnt a fan, he’s fine, etc.. The freshman beat clemson, able to move out of the pocket, read defense, etc. Van Dime has hit his mark with 10 interceptions!

  2. The offense plays are shitty, wide receivers got to get open, the offensive was terrible for the first time, stupid penalties, and tyler is playing shitty, he is rushing the throws, I do not know why.

  3. Yes – we definitely need a change at quarterback – should have tried both Williams and Brown (this game and last game). I read a posting that said they were trying to redshirt Williams. Is this true? We do need to be preparing for the future, but we also need to take care of the here and now. We have too much talent on our team to waste it like we are. Most of our young men are really giving it their all – the coaching staff is not being fair to them. I know TVD is trying – but it’s just not working!
BTW – I am a loyal Miami fan through and through. The U is my team , and will always be my team!!

  4. Freshmen didn’t beat clemson the defense did. Freshman did the bare minimum.
