Since 1935, the NCFAA’s 25 awards have honored over 900 recipients. This season, 12 NCFAA awards will recognize national players of the week every Tuesday.

Cam Ward: The West Columbia, appeared in 25 games and completed 644 of 983 passes (65.5%) for 6,968 passes, 48 touchdowns and 16 interceptions across two seasons. Ward will be one to watch for West Coast teams like USC, Oregon and Washington.

Last season, he completed 66.6% of his passes for 3,735 yards, 25 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He also added eight scores on the ground.

Damien Martinez: Martines had an amazing true freshman season where he ran for 982 yards and seven touchdowns. He then took it up another notch last season as a sophomore, running for 1,185 yards and nine touchdowns. Those 1,185 yards was enough for 24th best in the country. He was also involved in the passing game, catching 11 passes for an additional 126 yards.

An impressive sophomore campaign came after his freshman year of 982 yards and seven touchdowns. Despite not being the most sought-after recruit coming out of high school, Martinez hit the ground running and had been a productive player for Oregon State for two seasons.

Xavier Restrepo: 2024 will be Restrepo’s fifth with the Hurricanes. He’s steadily improved in each of the previous four, with his best season coming in 2023. All in all, Restrepo has caught 131 passes for 1,717 receiving yards and ten receiving touchdowns.
