What the addition of 4-star CB Jaboree Antoine means to Miami

Miami finally has another big time addition on the board. It’s a big one, too. The Hurricanes strengthened at a position of need in the class of 2025 on Saturday as it received a commitment from four-star cornerback Jaboree Antoine out of New Iberia, LA.

Antoine, a 6-2, 180-pound prospect from New Iberia, La. (Westgate High School) committed initially to LSU in January while on campus for the Tigers Junior Day recruiting event. The Miami Hurricanes coaching staff and said “aye let’s go get this kid out of LSU’s backyard” and they did so correctly.

After losing DJ Pickett to LSU falling back on Jaboree Antoine is honestly not a bad get. Don’t get me wrong I still think Pickett is ahead of Jaboree but they are both two solid players and if the Hurricanes can pull in Pickett by signing day this secondary will be scary.

So yea adding Jaboree to the class makes the secondary even more scary than what it was.

According to 247Sports Composite, Antoine is currently positioned as the 51st-ranked player in the 2025 cycle, the 8th-ranked cornerback, and the 2nd-ranked player in Louisiana.

Jaboree missed majority of the season due to being injured, that did affect his junior season, but he is looking to have a stronger senior season.

As a sophomore he racked a total of 32 tackles, 11 PBU and 5 INT on defense while completing 105 of 186 pass attempts for 1,650 yards and 12 TD on offense. So yea he is versatile with him playing quarterback.
