What the computers are saying about Miami vs. Boston College

The roller coaster ride that is this Miami Basketball season delivered a big high (the win over Clemson) and a big low (the loss at Georgia Tech). The Canes have three regular season games remaining, each crucial for ACC and NCAA Tournament seeding purposes. But the Canes don’t have to worry about that, it really don’t seem like the Hurricanes will make the NIT either.

Miami is currently twelve in the ACC standings. Pull off a big win over North Carolina and/or Boston College and then we can get out of the bubble in the ACC. Stumble again and you’ll certainly be playing during school.

However it is GameDay and you can not be sad on GameDay, so lets dive into what the computers are saying about the Miami Hurricanes taking on the Boston College Eagles.

Boston College Eagles

Tuesday, March. 06, 7 p.m. ET, Watsco Center (Coral Gables, FL), ESPNU

Boston College is 1-6 against Quad 1 opponents. Their 1 victory was an 86-80 win over St. John’s on a neutral court. The Golden Eagles are 1-3 in Quad 2 games. Their lone Quad 2 win was against Richmond at home, defeating the Spiders 68-61. BC also has two Quad 3 losses on their record. One of those was against NC State at home (78-84 in OT) and the other was against FSU at home (62-63).

Don’t sleep on Boston College though. Offensively, they are formidable. They rank 4th in the ACC in Field Goal Percentage (46.7%) and 5th in Three-Point Percentage (36.6%).

BartTorvik: Miami 79, Boston College 74 (70% chance of victory)
