Which position room on the Miami offense is the strongest in 2024?

During the Miami football offseason, it’s a pet project of mine to see what our readers feel about different subjects and being that it’s July, I’m trying to keep things “light.”

There will be plenty of time for seriousness once the football season starts.

Today’s interactive subject will certainly be all opinion and there are no wrong answers because a lucid and well-thought argument could be made for every choice offered when you have a team that has a roster as talented as the 2024 Hurricanes promise to be.

Let’s get on with it.

Which position unit on the Miami offense do you feel is the strongest?

Again, a good argument could be made for the wide receivers because of its added depth through the transfer portal and the returning experience and talent.

But I’m going to present a case for the running back room as being the strongest on the offense.

Miami brought in new running back coach Matt Merritt which USF ran for 182.8 yards per game (2,377 total yards) to rank third in the American Athletic Conference and posted 5,871 total yards (451.6 per game), the third-best mark in program history, in 2023.

Miami is not abandoning its physical identity in the run game. They’re simply going to adapt with the times by adjusting to the strengths of the offense’s personnel.

Miami has returned Mark Fletcher, Ajay Allen, and Christopher Johnson, Miami is also bringing in Jordan Lyle and Chris Humphrey from the 2024 class.

All of these kids are top dawgs and will make a huge impact in the Miami Hurricanes offence next season.

Mark Fletcher and Ajay Allen along with Damien Martinez all bring college experience to the table.

The Hurricanes have struggled to maintain a healthy running back room in each of the last two years but with Miami adding Martinez say if he does go down Miami will have some experienced backs to back him up.

What do you guys think is the strongest position group on the Hurricanes offence?
