Women’s Basketball Tabbed No. 24 in Associated Press Top 25 Poll

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – After getting off to an 8-0 start while already notching a top-25 road win at Mississippi State, Miami women’s basketball was tabbed No. 24 in the Associated Press Top 25 Women’s College Basketball Poll as announced Monday, Dec. 11.

The ranking is the program’s first in the AP poll since coming in at No. 24 Dec. 23, 2019. Additionally, it’s Miami’s first ranking between either the AP or USA Today Coaches Poll since sitting at No. 25 in the USA Today Preseason Coaches Poll this fall.

The Canes are just one of 18 NCAA Division I programs still unbeaten and only one of two Atlantic Coach Conference (ACC) programs to have an unblemished record.

Miami goes to San Antonio, Texas, to take on Baylor in the Hall of Fame Series game Saturday, Dec. 16 at 5 p.m. EST.
