Xavier Restrepo Records another 100-yard game against FAMU

Xavier Restrepo recorded his second consecutive 100-yard receiving game today against FAMU.

Restrepo was clearly the primary target, and FAMU failed to cover him well, which was evident in the first quarter as Restrepo was dominating the game.

Restrepo finished the game as the leading receiver with four catches for 104 yards and a touchdown. His longest reception was a 50-yard pass from Ward to the right. Last week against Florida he racked up seven receptions for 112 yards.

If Cam Ward does throw the ball 35-40 times a game it is very possible that Restrepo could approach Santana Moss’s career receiving yards record. Those balls have to go to somebody, and he is clearly the most dynamic.

During the game, Restrepo surpassed Andre Johnson and Allen Hurns in career receiving yards. Restrepo has 1,912 yards and is aiming to break the record this season.
