BREAKING: Houston transfer wide receiver Sam Brown commits to Miami

YAHTZEE! The Miami Hurricane’s coaching staff just landed another kid out of the portal with Houston wide receiver Sam Brown transferring to Miami. He told on social media that he would be taking his talents to the university of Miami.

This is the second day in a row the Hurricanes landed a top target in the portal with yesterday being top running back target Damien Martinez committing to Miami.

Sam Brown started his official visit to Miami this weekend, and committed on his visit.

This is a very good fit for him, he is very familiar with Miami Hurricanes offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson, Brown played his first season at Houston in a Shannon Dawson coordinated offense after transferring in from West Virginia. That season, the 6-foot-2, 195-pounder posted 41 catches for 471 yards and four touchdowns.

Another reason why he could land at Miami is that Cam Ward and Brown’s connection if very nice, incase you have missed it Ward went back to his home town to work on his passing skills before he takes he field in the Fall when the Hurricanes travel to Gainesville, but while he was up their at Houston training he was throwing dots to Sam Brown. You can see in the photo below.

Brown was the 448th ranked signee, 77th WR and 46th prospect in Georgia in the 2020 class out of Bloomingdale.

Brown was eighth in the Big XII in 2023, averaging 67.9 receiving yards per game.

Welcome him to Miami down below in the comments!
